Mineral water ranks at the top of the latest data on the exports of the country’s most exported traditionally Italian products. This is especially true for the United States, which is the first importing country with a total of 147 million euro. Italian mineral water is indeed appreciated for its organoleptic quality and wide varieties. The fact that it is made in Italy differentiates it and is a valuable element for its export sales. Consumer styles have clearly changed in North America and Northern Europe, where once other drinks were preferred. Over 35 billion liters of mineral water are consumed in the USA. The consumption of carbonated beverages was exceeded in 2016 for the first time, and water is found to have different organoleptic characteristics from filtered one.
