Caffarel upbeat about 2018, eyes US growth

The historical “gianduia” chocolate maker is looking to expand its US retail distribution

Caffarel, the Turin company founded in 1826 best known for inventing the “gianduiotto” by combining cocoa and roasted Piedmont hazelnuts, is looking to make the United States as its primary target market in 2018. 2017 was a very successful year for Caffarel, we grew by 25% versus 2016, and we created a lot of awareness in several strategic markets, thanks to very great execution, in-store execution, and also the new partners that we activated during the year, Caffarel Export Director Arnaldo Sommovigo told Italianfood.net.
