Morato Pane SPA
The story of Morato starts in a small bakery that Luigi Morato opened in 1970 in the centre of Vicenza. In few years, thanks to the specialities Bruschetta and Tramezzino bread, sales expanded from region to national level, and the bakery took on the features of a small industry.
In 1996, Morato products were so succesful that a larger and more structured industrial plant was needed, so, a new plant was built at Altavilla Vicentina.
In 2001 - 2003, the range of products was enriched with Nuvolatte, a milky bun perfect for breakfast, and American Sandwich, the new generation of sliced bread.
In 2009, Morato bought the Pan D'Este trademark, an historic trademark of premium dry breads and breadsticks.
Now Morato is a group with the acquisition of Granbon and Artigianpiada trademarks. It is a major player in the European bread market.
